Most of this blog consists of film, television, and books. I'm passionate about well-written and well-acted films that make me laugh, cry, and/or think. I'll read just about anything, as long as it doesn't suck. I'm much pickier about television. LOST, Mad Men, Gilmore Girls, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Downton Abbey, The Office, Parks and Recreation, Seinfeld, and Will and Grace occupy space in my heart.

Also, because I like it when people explain these things, my URL (not all squished together "I should infinitely prefer a book") is a reference to a line spoken by the character Mary in Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. The title of my blog, Notice Every Tree, is a lyric from the song "Move On" from Stephen Sondheim's musical Sunday in the Park With George.
